Conduct disorders are often diagnosed in children who demonstrate persistent or repeated violent, threatening, behavior that goes outside of social norms. Children with conduct disorder often direct these behaviors toward others, animals, or property. They often violate rules, such as ignoring parental or school requirements.
Symptoms of Conduct disorder include:
– Difficulty getting along with peers over time
– Increase struggles with academics over time and taking absences from school
– Aggression toward people and/or animals
– Problems with physical or sexual violence
– Violating social norms or rules
– Destruction of property
– Falsification of information or theft
